Leon’s journey in insurance began straight out of Kelston Boys High School in 1996, when he joined State Insurance as a customer services officer. That early experience laid the groundwork for his people-first approach — one that’s remained central throughout his career.

Over the years, Leon has built a deep and varied foundation across the insurance landscape: from domestic insurance and commercial underwriting to complex claims, total loss claims, and corporate broking in both Australia and New Zealand. His time as a Local Business Manager at Westpac added a layer of financial insight that continues to inform his advice today.

After a rewarding stint overseas as a Branch Manager in Fiji for one of the world’s largest insurance brokers, Leon and his wife returned to Auckland then relocated to Papamoa after Covid. The Bay of Plenty is now home — and the perfect backdrop for Leon’s grounded, client-focused style.
